A solution making public and shared spaces like bars, restaurants, libraries more pleasant in terms of noise.
Noise in public and shared spaces like bars, restaurants, libraries usually has one or two most common sources – people and speakers. When thinking about the problem I have realized that it mostly occurs at hours, places and situations where an artificial source of light is needed. Bars and cafes mostly get loud in the evening, study spaces in libraries have lamps, noise in parks and on the street mostly bother other people in the evening, etc. That led to a solution.
It’s a light bulb adapter that detects and reminds the guests when they are being too loud by lowering the luminosity. Quiet bulb also times the periods between the spikes in noise and gives more and more evident reminders. It could also be set so it drives people away by turning the lights way down after a series of warnings.
While observing cafes, bars and restaurants I realized people prefer different volume levels. An easy to install Bluetooth speaker light bulb adapter enables localized volume control for bars, cafes and restaurants and with the right space setting it can even allow for personalized music.
